FW800iL Cable:
FW800iL IEEE 1394a/b cable features a 4-pin FireWire (aka iLink) male connector at one end and a 9-pin male FireWire 800 connector at the other. The IEEE specification provides total compatibility between the 400mbps and 800mbps busses.

FW400iL Cable:
FW400iL IEEE 1394a cable features a 4-pin FireWire (aka iLink) male connector at one end and a 6-pin male FireWire 400 connector at the other.
This cable is mainly used for connecting Mac to a DV Camcorder.

Note: iLink 4 pins does NOT provide power, only 6 and 9 pins.
