Applications:
The featured real time encryption means all data on the hard drive is cipher text and cannot be read without the correct secuity decryption key. If the drive is lost or stolen, nothing can be retrieved from the disk. The drive will appear as a BLANK disk.

Scenario 1
For Secure Transportation of large files between sites, where each party holds the same security decryption key, and the ioRAID encrypted drive is couriered between different locations. Essential for Governmental departments or Intelligence agency communications and file transfers.

Hardware real time encryption / decryption based on eNova X-Wall technology, certified by US government NIST and Canadian government CES, providing automatic transparent encryption / decryption without performance degradation.

Available in 3.5" Desktop Drive and 2.5" Mobile Drive (FireWire bus powered) format, with the options of 40, 128 and 192 bit encryption. Every bit and byte is encrypted by DES (Data Encryption Standard) or TDES (triple DES) algorithm, the resulting cipher text is unreadable without the secure key.

Cased in rugged aluminium with load-bearing suspension system, Anti-Shock Protection Chamber, exhaust vents and thermal case, your data is kept safe, private and confidential.

Supports Mac OS 9 & OS X, Win 98SE, 2000, ME, XP and Linux. Firewire 400, 800 (IEEE 1394a & b), USB 1.1 / 2.

Secure Key decrypts the hardware based eNova X-Wall DES/TDES algorithm encryption in real time.
Firewire 800/400 interface provides up to 800/400 Mbps data transfer rate, respectively (theoretical max. speed) or USB 2 at 480Mbps (theoretical max speed).
